Design an app to help lunar pioneers manage Hexabots in effortless and efficient manner - assigning tasks, tracking process, and receiving vital updates with just a few taps of their fingers. It is essential to build on existing user insights.

Users check the status of the Hexabots an average of 7-10 times a day to ensure tasks are progressing as planned.

Highlighted, easy-to-read status updates are shown on the home screen.

Quick task assignments

About 65% of users assign new tasks to Hexabots in response to urgent needs.

A 'plus' button in the main navigation allows users quickly and easily assign a new task.

Voice commands

Many users need hand-free control, while wearing suits or during manual operations.

'Hey, Hexa!' voice command allows users to assign a task and check the Hexabot's status.

Complex operational settings

Users work in tough conditions, so the interface must be easy to use with limited dexterity, like when wearing gloves.

The touch areas are bigger than the standard recommended touch target size.

Personalization
User would like to name and customize their Hexabots.

The Settings option allows users to personalize their bots.

Clear task allocation

It is important to distinguish bots that work in the same area and clearly highlight their task locations.

Each Hexabot shows its current location and has a unique colour to set it apart from the others.

A research team is working on a prototype turbine using a silicone 3D printer and they lack the specific materials. Their goal is to quickly ensure that a Hexabot is tasked with a gathering necessary resources. Once this is accomplished, the user then monitors the Hexabot's process, receiving updates.

I analysed flows like food ordering and live delivery tracking, which are very similar to task assignment and process tracking flow.
